All throughout scripture we see people who are in need call upon The Lord. They ask for help, healing, food, shelter, deliverance, and even for Jesus to bring back their loved one who just died. There is power in Jesus name. In the book of James it tells us that if we submit ourselves to Jesus that the devil will flee from us!
Luke 11:9
“So I say to you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.
This past week, James and I re did our prayer wall. There was post it notes scattered, the glue was no longer sticking, and there was a bunch of tape everywhere to hold them up. From the outside it looked like a hot mess, but to me, it was my conversation with God. We decided to do something more permanent and structured so our post it notes won’t fall down and need taped up.
James designed it using wood from his grandparents old fence. The top part is all of our prayer requests and the bottom is where the post it notes go when they’re answered. There are none on the bottom right now since we started from scratch. They are held up by nails so they won’t fall down. I sat on my bed with a huge pile of post it notes from our old prayer wall. They were all the answered ones. There was almost 100. Almost 100 prayers answered. I was amazed as I looked back on them. Some of them I totally forgot about until reading the post it note. I was overwhelmed by God’s faithfulness.
Psalm 105:1
Oh give thanks to the LORD, call upon His name; Make known His deeds among the peoples.
We put some old prayers back on the prayer wall and added some new ones. I am excited for this new chapter of my prayer wall. I am excited to see God answer when we call upon His name. I wonder which post it note will be the first to move?!
Typically I post towards the end of the week, but this Sunday I will be having an extra post where I will be sharing a very exciting announcement here on the blog at 7pm! This is something that I have been working on for awhile and have been praying over daily. I cannot wait to share with you what it is.
